Maybe you picked up a book off the shelf at Barnes & Noble (or saw the cover on Amazon’s suggested-for-you list). You weren’t sure how good it would be; after all, the reviews were all over the board.

Perhaps that’s your book, with the smorgasbord reviews, and you are hoping for an experienced reader-reviewer to read it, perhaps spotlight it on their blog, and do social-media promotion on Goodreads, Amazon, or Twitter.

Hi. I’m Meagan, and I’m a born-and-bred Washingtonian who likes to wax eloquent on apples, Lord of the Rings, and the finer points of Indian restaurants.

And I’m a closet bookaholic, foodie, and traveler. (Does that make me less closeted by admitting it?)

I’m here to tell you, in the words of Disney’sΒ Ratatouille, that “anyone can cook” (or read – or travel) – even you. You can make that froo-froo recipe. Your picky eaters will find something to eat here. Your travel plans will come together. And the rapidly-growing gift-list recipients will find a bookΒ they will love and know that it is clean, entertaining, and worth a re-read – or two, or six.

      I haven’t created any LOTR-inspired recipes – yet!! That’s a great idea; can’t believe I never thought of it. I already have a few recipes that with some modifications would be excellent. πŸ™‚ Will post some soon! Thanks for the ideas!

I am completely over the moon in love with Middle Earth myself, esp on the Aragon & Arwen angle of romance within the heart of the series; however, I haven’t yet had the pleasure of reading Middle Earth in novel form! 😦 I had wanted to attempt it prior to the motion pictures, but I decided that my itch to see the adaptations was greater than my ability to read the tome of what Tolkien left behind! Therefore, I eagerly headed off to the theater and was quite surprised to find how comfortable & how familiar Middle Earth felt to me! Now, I realise it was filmed in *New Zealand*, but there was simply something about that particular world that felt ‘known to me’ rather than unknown?! I didn’t watch the Hobbit editions in film, as I truly want to read all of Tolkien’s brilliance in the ‘order of Middle Earth’ which involves going in/out of the Histories of Middle Earth and through the series as it was published!

    How lovely to find someone else as giddy about this as I am! πŸ™‚

    Have you read the Histories!? And, other supporting stories!?

      I’ve tried to read Silmarillion three times and haven’t made it all the way through. 😦 But, I have read Children of Hurin and bits and pieces of the Books of Lost Tales. I’ll have to move those up in my list of books to read! πŸ˜‰
